Now this is great news! One of my favorite Touchstone films from the 1990’s, and one of my all time favorite John Cusack movies is finally coming to blu-ray on August 7, 2012. ‘Grosse Point Blank’ is a black comedy that follows Cusack, who plays a hitman who, on the advice of his psychiatrist, goes to his ten year high school reunion. But the reunion doesn’t go as according to plan, as he finds himself tailed by two federal agents, another hitman who wants to kill him, and an assassin who wants him to join his “assassins league”. The movie is dark comedy at its finest, and I’ve enjoyed it since I discovered it years ago in high school. For me, Cusack is a terribly underrated actor, and this is one of his finest movies. The film also stars Minnie Drive, Dan Akyroyd, Alan Arkin, and Joan Cusack. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, this is your perfect chance to pick it up. Hard to believe this is the films 15th anniversary. I can’t wait to add it to my collection. Do I have any other ‘Grosse Point Blank’ fans out there?
