Congrats to Hilary Duff & Mike Comrie on their engagement!
The original Disney star will soon be walking down the aisle. According to MSNBC, it is now confirmed that actress/singer Hilary Duff, 22, is engaged to NHL star Mike Comrie, 29.
Dating for over two years, publicist Nanci Ryder confirmed that the Edmonton Oilers star popped the question last weekend in Hawaii. Comrie, meanwhile, is on break while the NHL goes on a two-week hiatus in order to make room for the Olympics.
Arguably the reason why the Disney channel is what it is today, Duff broke into stardom at a young age with the Disney smash hit, The Lizzie Maguire Show. After many seasons with the show, the young starlet moved on to bigger projects including a hugely successful music career. Recently, she has been seen in a number of independent films such as War, Inc., co-starring John Cusack and Marisa Tomei. Her latest appearance was a recurring role on the hit series, Gossip Girl.
