The doors to the monster world are cracking open just a little bit wider! If you are heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon, you will want to make sure you stop by Walt Disney Presents, as the Monstropolis preview space has just received a monstrous update.

A Massive New Concept Art Display
The most noticeable addition to the preview area is a massive new display board. Rather than showcasing several disconnected images, Imagineering has installed one large, continuous piece of concept art that packs five distinct scenes of the upcoming land into a single display.
This beautifully detailed artwork gives fans an incredible look at the vibrant locations coming to Monstropolis, including:
- A lively stage show featuring Mike and Sulley, complete with a laugh canister flying overhead.
- The grand interior lobby of the Glob Theater, which brings to mind the classic, elegant theaters found in major cities like New York and Los Angeles.
- The glowing exterior marquee of the Glob Theater lit up brilliantly for the evening.
- Guests dining inside the incredibly themed, bustling Harryhausen’s restaurant.
- A wide street view of the Monstropolis entrance archway, a central eye-themed fountain, and various monsters roaming the streets.
Critters and Laugh Canisters
The concept art is not the only new addition to the gallery. Guests can now get an up-close look at a life-size Laugh Canister physical prop. Seeing it in person makes us incredibly curious to see exactly how Monstropolis will utilize laughter to generate energy throughout the physical footprint of the new land.
Imagineering has also put out several physical maquettes showcasing the local wildlife that will call the city home. Fans can spot hilarious “monsterfied” street critters, including a very relatable two-headed pigeon and a rather intense three-eyed squirrel.
