The Grand Californian’s Nightmare Before Christmas Display Is Ready
The culinary team at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel has outdone themselves once again! A massive, edible display themed to The Nightmare Before Christmas has officially materialized in the main lobby, bringing spooky Halloween Town magic to life in delicious fashion.
Positioned directly in the heart of the Grand Californian’s grand lobby, the “Spiral Hill Confectionery” display depicts iconic scenes and fan-favorite characters from the classic Tim Burton film.
Standing tall under the soft glow of a massive full moon, Jack Skellington (clad in his festive “Sandy Claws” suit) and Sally (in her signature patchwork dress) share a moment atop a snowy Spiral Hill dotted with glowing jack-o’-lanterns.
Look around the rest of the display and you’ll find plenty of frightfully fun details:
- Zero’s Spot: To the right of the hill, Jack’s ghost dog Zero floats happily near his gray doghouse, surrounded by weathered tombstones.
- Oogie Boogie & The Mayor: Flip to the other side of the display to catch a vibrant green Oogie Boogie lurking alongside the two-faced Mayor of Halloween Town amidst eerie vines and pumpkin patches.
A tombstone-shaped plague standing right beside the display gives guests a peak into the incredible craftsmanship behind this year’s installment. The resort’s talented pastry team poured 800 hours of work into hand-crafting the creation fit for the Pumpkin King himself!
