Mickey & Friends Halloween Decor Returns to Downtown Disney!

Halloween Time is officially back at the Disneyland Resort, and you don’t even need a park ticket to soak in the festive fallback magic! The Downtown Disney District has officially kicked off its seasonal transformation, bringing back fan-favorite Halloween decorations starring Mickey, his pals, and some delightfully spectral friends.

Originating from Tokyo Disney Resort, these beloved statues and autumnal displays have materialized once again in flowerbeds and plaza displays throughout the shopping and dining district.

As guests stroll through Downtown Disney, they’ll spot detailed figures of the Sensational Six dressed in their eerie autumn best, alongside classic Disney animation icons:

  • Mickey & Minnie: Clad in medieval-inspired orange, purple, and green attire, Prince Mickey and Princess Minnie hold court surrounded by lush fall blooms and pumpkins.
  • Pluto’s Pumpkin Heist: Atop a cascading waterfall display, carved jack-o’-lanterns spell out “Halloween Time”—except Pluto, donning a straw hat and bat-patterned scarf, has mischief on his mind and has swiped the letter “M”!

  • Wizard Donald: Sitting comfortably atop a giant pumpkin, Donald Duck is dressed in a wizard’s robe and hat, holding a vine-wrapped horn amidst bat topiaries.
  • The Lonesome Ghosts: Floating elevated above the flower beds, the trio of spectral haunts from the classic 1937 Disney short Lonesome Ghosts are back! Dressed in straw hats and holding carved jack-o’-lanterns (and pumpkin bags filled with bones and gardening tools), these ghostly figures add a fun touch of classic Disney animation history to the district.

In addition to the character photo ops, the entire promenade has received a fall glow-up. Retailers and dining spots including Napolini Pizzeria, Sephora, Wetzel’s Pretzels, and Lovepop feature pumpkin-stacked entrances, while the window at Disney Home boasts a pumpkin-and-leaf Mickey wreath.

Spooky season at Disneyland Resort runs through October 31. Whether you’re grabbing a seasonal treat at Disney Wonderful World of Sweets or simply taking an evening stroll, Downtown Disney is officially ready for Halloween!
