New SuperKitty Joins the SuperKitties Crew
Disney Junior’s hit preschool series SuperKitties has expanded its hero lineup in a major way. In a surprise release, a full-length special titled “The New SuperKitty” premiered on Disney Junior and Disney Junior On Demand, officially introducing Willa the Wildcat as the newest member of the cat-tastic crime-fighting team.
For fans eager to stream the action at home, the special arrives on Disney+.

A High-Stakes Test in Kittydale
In “The New SuperKitty,” the core team puts Willa’s superhero skills to the ultimate test after a formidable villainous alliance threatens their hometown. Cat Burglar (voiced by Justin Guarini) joins forces with the Glamsters (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Utkarsh Ambudkar) in a bid to take over Kittydale. Working together, the SuperKitties and Willa foil the plot, proving that Willa has exactly what it takes to earn her official suit and spot on the squad.
To celebrate Willa’s official debut, Disney Junior released a new music video titled “Ready to Su-Purr Roar,” giving young viewers a first look at the wildcat in superhero action. An extended single version, “Ready to Su-Purr Roar (Extended),” is available across all major digital music platforms.

New Fall Specials On the Horizon
The excitement surrounding SuperKitties doesn’t stop with Willa’s arrival. Disney Junior has revealed two brand-new full-length specials slated for release later this fall:
- “Howl-O-Ween Charm” – Halloween in Kittydale is thrown into chaos when the Howl-o-ween Cat’s charm is stolen, letting loose a mischievous group of Trixters. The SuperKitties must recapture the Trixters and safely return them to the charm before their tricks ruin the holiday.
- “Friendsgiving Feast” – When the Glamsters swipe holiday treats and decorations across town, the SuperKitties and Willa spring into action to protect everyone’s Friendsgiving traditions. The special features guest appearances from Jenifer Lewis as Evie’s glamorous grandma, Glammy, and Henry Winkler as Sam and Eddie’s Uncle Tony.
A Record-Breaking Franchise
Since debuting in 2023, SuperKitties has grown into a powerhouse franchise for Disney Junior. The series has amassed over 33.2 billion minutes watched across linear television and streaming platforms, while racking up nearly half a billion views on YouTube to date.
The franchise’s success is also expanding off-screen. Families can find an extensive merchandise lineup nationwide, including a new toy collection from Just Play alongside apparel, dress-up costumes, and storybooks from Disney Consumer Products.
Additionally, theme park visitors can look forward to the return of “Confection Purrfection with the SuperKitties.” The fan-favorite interactive stage show—where young guests can decorate cupcakes alongside their favorite feline heroes—returns for a special, one-day-only limited engagement during the Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party at Disney California Adventure park on August 13, 2026.
