New Palm Trees Take Root at EPCOT Entrance After Winter Damage
The entrance to EPCOT is looking a little more tropical again after Disney planted six new palm trees near Spaceship Earth. The previous palms were removed in May after suffering damage during cold snaps over the winter.

The former entrance display featured five palm trees on each side of Spaceship Earth, while the updated layout includes three on each side. The new trees appear to have thicker trunks and fuller fronds, giving the front of the park a refreshed look while restoring some shade to the area.
The palms are planted in the flowerbeds near the EPCOT character meet-and-greet mural on one side and the wheelchair rental station on the other. Their arrival comes after other trees were recently removed from the main entrance, opening up a clearer view of Spaceship Earth for guests entering the park.
