Lacey Chabert Shares What It Was Really Like Filming at Disney World

Hallmark favorite Lacey Chabert is bringing holiday magic to the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Appearing on Live with Kelly and Mark, Chabert opened up about starring in the upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie, Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True, calling the experience an absolute dream come true.

When Chabert first learned she was cast in a Disney World-set Christmas film, her reaction was purely emotional. She confessed that she actually fell off-camera and burst into tears when given the news.

Production took place over a full month, including filming in locations like Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While producers initially offered to rent her an off-site apartment during production, Chabert had only one request:

“I was like, ‘Hold on, is staying at a Disney property an option? Because I would like to stay at a Disney hotel.'”

She ended up staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, where she enjoyed Mickey waffles almost daily and spent her days off enjoying the theme parks. Her top ride recommendations from the trip? TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT!

The film follows Lindsey (played by Chabert) as she travels to Walt Disney World with her extended family for a festive holiday getaway.

However, her magical vacation takes an unexpected turn when she runs into Philip (Travis Van Winkle)—a man she recently had a disastrous first date with—who happens to be staying at the exact same resort with his family.
