Guide to Mega Movie Summer 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios Hollywood is rolling out the red carpet once again for Mega Movie Summer, a seasonal celebration packed with blockbuster-themed food, entertainment, merchandise, character encounters, and exclusive experiences inspired by some of Universal’s biggest franchises. Running daily from June 13 through August 9, the event is included with regular park admission, making it one of the best summer values for movie fans.

This year’s lineup spotlights Illumination’s “Minions & Monsters,” the 25th anniversary of “Fast & Furious,” “Wicked,” “Wicked: For Good,” “Jaws,” and the upcoming Christopher Nolan film “The Odyssey.” Guests can meet characters, enjoy themed dance parties, snap exclusive photo ops, and shop limited-edition merchandise throughout the park.
Food is taking center stage during Mega Movie Summer. Hollywood & Dine transforms into Drift & Dine with a Fast & Furious-inspired menu featuring items like the Fried Elote Corn Dog, Grill Master’s Burger, and Quarter Mile Funnel Cake. Over at Mel’s Diner, “Jaws” fans can sink their teeth into menu items such as the Shark Bait Burger, Lobster Roll, Fish & Chicken Basket, and the Amity Island Funnel Cake. Families can also fuel up with the Fast & Furious-themed La Familia Meal at Cocina Mexicana.
Minions fans will find plenty to celebrate as “Minions & Monsters” takes over portions of the park ahead of the film’s July 1 release. New characters James and Henry will make their Universal Studios Hollywood debut, while guests can enjoy a Minion Dance Party, themed treats at Minion Cafe, and exclusive merchandise including shoulder pals, apparel, and collectible blind boxes.
“Wicked” fans can reunite with Elphaba and Glinda at the DreamWorks Theatre and browse exclusive merchandise inspired by the upcoming sequel, including plushes and new Spirit Jerseys. Meanwhile, movie buffs can board the World-Famous Studio Tour to see new behind-the-scenes content for Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” including a screen-used ship featured in the upcoming film.
With themed food, exclusive entertainment, limited-time merchandise, and immersive experiences around every corner, Mega Movie Summer is shaping up to be one of Universal Studios Hollywood’s biggest seasonal events of the year.
