Disney Takes Home Multiple Telly and Shorty Awards for Standout Digital Storytelling

If you’ve spent any time scrolling through TikTok, binging YouTube, or catching up on Disney+ lately, chances are you’ve stumbled across some seriously amazing Disney Parks content. Well, it turns out we aren’t the only ones obsessed. Disney Experiences just absolutely cleaned up at this year’s Telly and Shorty Awards, taking home a massive haul of trophies for their stellar digital storytelling. From deeply emotional documentaries to high-energy creator collabs, Disney is proving that the magic isn’t just inside the parks, it’s thriving on our screens, too.

In total, Disney bagged a whopping ten Telly Awards (including three golds!) and two top honors at the Shorty Awards. If you aren’t familiar with these ceremonies, they are kind of a big deal in the digital world. The Telly Awards are the premier honors celebrating video and television across all screens, judged by top-tier industry experts who sift through over 13,000 global entries. Meanwhile, the Shorty Awards specifically shout out the absolute best, most innovative content in social media that manages to break through the everyday digital noise.

The undisputed heavyweight champion of the Telly Awards was Disneyland Handcrafted, a nostalgic, intimate documentary that takes fans back to 1955 to witness the chaotic, beautiful rush of building Walt’s original park. It scored two Gold awards for its incredible sound design and use of archival footage, plus a Silver for long-form documentary. If you love the history and heart of Disney, this one is an absolute must-watch.

Disney also proved they know exactly how to crush the collaboration game. Their video podcast episode Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, filmed right in front of Cinderella Castle with a special guest appearance by Donna Kelce, scored a Gold Telly for Best Video Podcast. It also completely won over the internet, snagging the Audience Honors for both Brand Partnership and Travel & Tourism at the Shorty Awards. On the flip side of the energy spectrum, Disney’s wild partnership with YouTube megastars Dude Perfect, where the crew attempted to hit every single Disney park around the globe in just 75 hours, scored a Bronze Telly for its chaotic, fun-filled storytelling.

For the tech and behind-the-scenes nerds, Walt Disney Imagineering got plenty of well-deserved love. The awesome Imagineer That! series, hosted by the return of the nostalgic Tom Morrow 2.0, took home a Silver Telly for education. Meanwhile, an episode of We Call It Imagineering bagged a Silver for science and tech, giving fans a mind-blowing look at the new robotic Olaf bound for Disneyland Paris and those cute walking BDX droids in Galaxy’s Edge.

Finally, Disney showed off the real heart of the parks: the incredible cast members and holiday magic. Two separate features on how Disney Holiday Services magically installs dozens of massive Christmas trees overnight won big, including a Silver Telly for social video. But the real tear-jerker winner was a TikTok following Willie, a beloved PhotoPass photographer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The beautiful clip of his team surprising him with the prestigious Walt Disney Legacy Award took home a Bronze Telly for workplace culture.

Between these wins and a recent sweep at the Webby Awards, it’s clear Disney Experiences is firing on all cylinders. They aren’t just selling a theme park; they’re creating genuine, relatable, and innovative content that keeps fans connected to the magic, no matter where they are in the world.
