“Avengers: Endgame” Returning to Theaters with New Footage Ahead of “Doomsday” Release
Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are assembling once again… and this time, they are bringing something new with them. Avengers: Endgame is officially heading back to theaters on September 25, 2026, and Marvel fans may want to clear their schedules because this re-release is not just a victory lap, it is a remix.

During a presentation at CinemaCon, directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo confirmed that the re-release will include brand-new footage added to the already epic three-hour film. That means even if you have seen every snap, portal, and heroic entrance a dozen times, there will be fresh moments waiting when the film returns to the big screen.
But that is not the only upgrade. Both “Endgame” and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, arriving December 18, 2026, will be presented in a new premium large format standard called Infinity Vision. This new certification highlights theaters that meet Disney’s highest standards for presentation, including massive screens, laser projection for brighter visuals, and enhanced audio systems designed to fully immerse audiences in the action.

The timing is no coincidence. With “Doomsday” shaping up to be Marvel’s next major crossover event, the re-release of “Endgame” feels like a cinematic “previously on…” moment, but with bonus content to sweeten the deal.
