Disney’s Hollywood Studios Closing Early for Private Event in June 2026
If you are planning a summer day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you may want to keep an eye on your clock, because one June date is getting a bit of a Hollywood-style early curtain call. Disney has confirmed that the park will close earlier than usual on June 18, 2026, giving regular guests a shorter day before a private event takes over the park for the evening.

On Thursday, June 18, Hollywood Studios will close at 6:00 PM, which is three hours earlier than its typical 9:00 PM closing time. The park will still open as scheduled, with Early Entry beginning at 8:30 AM and regular admission starting at 9:00 AM, so guests can still pack in plenty of attractions if they plan ahead. Outside of this one-day adjustment, there are currently no other changes expected for surrounding dates, and the other Walt Disney World parks are anticipated to operate on their normal schedules.
The reason for the early closure is a private event hosted by the Society for Human Resource Management, which is holding a conference in the area that week. Later that evening, Hollywood Studios will reopen exclusively for event attendees from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, turning the park into a more limited-capacity experience for those guests. While private buyouts like this are not unheard of, they can definitely throw a curveball into vacation plans if you were hoping to catch nighttime entertainment or squeeze in a few extra rides after dark.

If Hollywood Studios is on your itinerary that day, it might be worth shifting plans or hopping to another park later in the evening to keep the magic going. Otherwise, consider arriving early and making the most of those morning and afternoon hours before the park says “that’s a wrap” for the day.
