Disney World Altercation Leads to Arrest of British Tourist
A 47-year-old man from the United Kingdom was arrested on a battery charge following an altercation at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in the Magic Kingdom. According to reports, the man was accused of shoving a teenage girl as she attempted to move past him while waiting in the attraction’s queue.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrest report regarding a February 20 incident, an 18-year-old victim from St. Cloud informed authorities that she was attempting to rejoin her party in the queue when she encountered Keith Newman. She stated that Newman extended his hands to block her path; when she tried to navigate around him, he allegedly shoved her back with both hands.
The force of the encounter caused the victim to fall backward into a friend, resulting in her spilling a water bottle on herself. While the victim was not physically injured and declined medical treatment, her friend corroborated the account, noting that Newman reportedly said, “There is a queue,” during the confrontation. The friend further alleged that when the victim resisted being pushed, Newman used both hands to shove her.

Newman admitted to the verbal exchange but contested the physical account, claiming he merely extended his hand and that the victim walked into it. He denied actively pushing the teenager. However, law enforcement determined there was probable cause to arrest Newman for battery based on the consistency of the witness statements and the details of the investigation.
According to Orange Circuit Court records, Newman entered a plea of not guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge in February.
Sadly the Most Magical Place on Earth isn’t always magical.
