Disneyland Permitting Confirms New Tenant for Jamba Juice Spot
Jamba is officially closing its doors at the Downtown Disney District, marking another major shift in the Disneyland Resort landscape. While we’ve been busy celebrating the arrival of new favorites like Din Tai Fung and the highly anticipated Porto’s Bakery, we now have to say goodbye to this longtime smoothie staple.

Disneyland Resort has filed a permit with the City of Anaheim to overhaul the 1,200-square-foot space currently occupied by Jamba. Listed as “DTD Building H/Suite 102,” the permit confirms a major “remodel of [an] existing beverage/food unit” to make way for a brand-new tenant. While Disney has yet to officially announce the closure, the filing indicates that the smoothie staple’s time in Downtown Disney is coming to an end.
The upcoming project involves extensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, though the identity of the new tenant remains under wraps. While there is no word on whether Jamba will relocate elsewhere on property, speculation is already pointing toward Bopo Go!—the boutique bubble tea concept previously announced for the district—as a likely candidate for the refreshed space.

It has been a full year since Disney first teased that Bopo Go! would be joining the Downtown Disney lineup, yet its exact location has remained a mystery. With news of Jamba’s departure now surfacing, the timing seems perfect for the boutique bubble tea shop to finally claim its home. While Disney hasn’t officially confirmed the swap, the 1,200-square-foot footprint would be an ideal fit for the new concept.
If this is truly the end for Jamba, it marks the departure of a literal district landmark. Originally opening in 2003—just two years after Downtown Disney itself debuted—the shop has been a staple for over two decades, even receiving a fresh, modern makeover in 2020. You can currently find Jamba nestled between Sephora and Pandora Jewelry, conveniently located near World of Disney and the entrance to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
