Jeff Bridges, Allison Janney, and Christoph Waltz lead the all-star cast of Illumination’s Minions & Monsters
Illumination and Universal Pictures have officially pulled back the curtain on the star-studded voice cast for their next big adventure, Minions & Monsters. As the latest chapter in the biggest global animated franchise in history, this film promises to bring a “full dose of irreverence” to theaters just in time for the summer rush.

The lineup for Minions & Monsters is packed with serious star power. Joining the mischievous yellow henchmen are:
- Allison Janney (Academy Award® winner)
- Christoph Waltz (Two-time Academy Award® winner)
- Jeff Bridges (Academy Award® winner)
- Jesse Eisenberg (Two-time Academy Award® nominee)
- Trey Parker (South Park co-creator and comedy icon)
- Zoey Deutch (Nouvelle Vague)
The cast is rounded out by fan-favorites Bobby Moynihan (SNL) and Phil LaMarr (Futurama). Of course, it wouldn’t be a Minions movie without Pierre Coffin, who returns to direct and provide the iconic voices of the Minions themselves.
Slated for release on July 1, 2026, the film follows the “totally true” story of how the Minions—led by a new character named Dick—conquered Hollywood.
After becoming movie stars and subsequently losing everything, the Minions accidentally unleash monsters onto the world. In classic fashion, they must band together to save the planet from the very mayhem they created. According to Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, the film also serves as a love letter to the origins of cinema and the classic comedians who originally inspired the Minions’ slapstick style.
Since their debut over 15 years ago, the Minions have become a $5.6 billion global powerhouse. Following the massive success of Minions: The Rise of Gru—which nearly hit the $1 billion mark—expectations are sky-high for this next installment.
