Room Refurbishment Coming to Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Beginning May 2026

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is preparing for a new round of room refurbishments beginning in late May 2026, with work scheduled to continue through the end of January 2027. The value resort refurbishment will take place in phases across the property, meaning guests visiting during that time may notice construction activity as Disney updates sections of the resort.

While Disney has not yet revealed which buildings will be refurbished first, projects like this typically happen in a rolling format. Entire sections or buildings are temporarily closed while work is completed before moving on to the next area. This allows the resort to remain open to guests throughout the refurbishment period rather than shutting down completely.

Guests staying at All-Star Movies during the refurbishment window should expect possible daytime construction noise and occasional changes to walking paths around the resort. However, Disney has confirmed that all major amenities will remain available to guests during the project. The Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and the kiddie pool are not currently listed as affected by the refurbishment.

Disney has not shared specifics about the changes coming to the rooms, but All-Star Movies underwent a major renovation in the late 2010s and early 2020s. That update introduced several modern upgrades, including wood-style flooring, improved storage, enhanced charging outlets, and a Murphy-style fold-down bed that allows the space to function as both a bedroom and a living area.

Because of those recent updates, this upcoming project may focus on a lighter refresh with new furnishings, flooring, or decorative elements rather than a full redesign. Disney has not confirmed whether newly refurbished rooms will become available to guests during the project or only once the work is completed.

If you already have a stay planned at All-Star Movies between late May 2026 and January 2027, it may be worth requesting a room away from active construction areas once Disney releases more details on the refurbishment schedule. Travelers who want to avoid the construction period altogether may consider booking a stay before late May or after the project wraps up in early 2027.
