Disneyland Beta Tests Enhanced Merch Search
Disneyland is currently beta-testing a “Find Merchandise” tool within its official app. This new feature aims to take the guesswork out of shopping by helping guests pinpoint exactly where specific souvenirs are stocked throughout the resort.

Disneyland App users may notice a new homepage feature that allows for remote merchandise browsing. Currently, this pilot program is limited to Lunar New Year items at select locations, including Elias & Co., Festival Gifts, and Embarcadero Gifts in Disney California Adventure, as well as Acorns Gifts & Goods at the Grand Californian Hotel.

After selecting “Try it Out,” a disclaimer confirms the feature is a limited-time test for the festival. The tool allows guests to search a specific database of shop inventory; for instance, a search for a “shirt” can be further filtered by size to check real-time availability. The app then displays stock levels, such as “low stock”. This follows a similar test at Walt Disney World’s World of Disney store last year, though that pilot has not yet resulted in a permanent app update.
Do you think this is a feature you’d take advantage of?
