Disney Adventure Makes Historic Stop in L.A. En Route to Singapore
The Disney Adventure, the latest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, dropped anchor at the Port of Los Angeles today. This stop marks a major milestone in its 60-day transcontinental journey from Germany to its permanent home in Singapore. Built at the Meyer Werft shipyard, the vessel is preparing for its highly anticipated March 10, 2026 maiden voyage, making it the first Disney ship to homeport in Asia.

“Excitement is building among our crew and future guests as we draw closer to the maiden voyage,” said Joe Schott, President of Disney Signature Experiences. Schott noted that the L.A. arrival represents a final chapter in the ship’s preparation before it brings Disney storytelling to an entirely new international audience.

The ship’s trek has already been record-breaking; it recently visited Port Canaveral and became the largest passenger vessel in history to transit the Panama Canal. After departing Los Angeles, the Adventure will make a brief stop in Tokyo before reaching Singapore. This expansion into the Asian market is part of an unprecedented growth phase for Disney Cruise Line, which includes a new sister ship in 2027 and a Japanese cruise venture with Oriental Land Co. launching in 2029.
