Stitch and Disney VoluntEARS Bring Holiday Joy to Kids Worldwide

The holiday season began with an extra dose of ohana as Disney Cruise Line VoluntEARS teamed up with the mischievous Stitch to spread cheer. Together, they traveled across Central Florida and The Bahamas, delivering special holiday gifts and unforgettable smiles to local children.

These visits are a cornerstone of Disney’s Holiday Magic Tour, a global initiative dedicated to uplifting kids and communities through festive events, generous donations, and signature Disney surprises. In Central Florida, Disney VoluntEARS from the Disney Fantasy—currently sailing out of Port Canaveral—made a surprise stop at Endeavour Elementary School in Cocoa. They delivered holiday gifts to nearly 100 excited students, while Stitch stole the show by dancing with teachers, sharing hugs, and posing for playful photos with the kids.

“At Disney Cruise Line, we know the happiness of a single moment can create memories that last a lifetime for kids and families—especially during the holidays,” said Beth Thibodaux, director of external affairs for Disney Cruise Line. “That’s why we’re proud to support Brevard County students all year through learning programs, grants and more. This holiday celebration is one of the moments our VoluntEARS look forward to the most.”

The magic of the season crossed the ocean as Disney VoluntEARS delivered hundreds of holiday gifts to three different Bahamian communities. Crew members from the Disney Fantasy teamed up with Stitch to visit Woodcock Primary School in Nassau, while also hosting students from Deep Creek Primary School in Eleuthera for a high-energy celebration filled with games and dancing. Meanwhile, in Abaco, the island crew from Disney Castaway Cay spread further joy by hand-delivering presents to children at three local schools.

“Our port communities are incredibly important to us at Disney Cruise Line so we want the residents to feel like we are a part of their communities,” said Joey Gaskins, regional director, public affairs, Disney Cruise Line. “Through the meaningful impact our VoluntEARS make year-round, their dedication shines even brighter during the holiday season when giving back matters most.”
