Disney Files New Permits for Support Buildings at STOLport Site
Disney’s Cars and Villains projects at Magic Kingdom are quietly picking up speed. A new permit filed by Walt Disney Imagineering reveals plans for two support buildings at the old STOLport site, just east of Magic Kingdom off World Drive.

The permit outlines parking, sidewalks, utilities, and drainage updates, along with modifications to two existing retention ponds. Dubbed “Project K,” the filing doesn’t name Cars Land or Villains Land outright, but given recent tree clearing and construction trailers set up behind Big Thunder Mountain and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, it’s clear this work is tied to the major expansions.

STOLport has long been used as a staging area for big Disney projects, and these new buildings will help fuel the massive construction happening backstage. With permits stacking up and Destination D23 right around the corner, it’s only a matter of time before Disney unveils more details on just how far these projects have come.
