Disneyland Resort Prepares for Historic 70th Anniversary Celebration on July 17th

While the Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary Celebration officially kicked off in May, the momentous actual anniversary of “The Happiest Place on Earth” arrives tomorrow, July 17, 2025. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are set to mark this milestone with a day filled with special offerings, exclusive merchandise, unique entertainment, and more.

Extended Park Hours and Commemorative Keepsakes

On July 17th, Disneyland Park will open its gates from 8 a.m. to midnight, with early entry for eligible guests beginning at 7:30 a.m. Visitors stepping into Disneyland Park on this historic day will receive special WelcomeEARs, a commemorative guide, and a celebratory button to mark the occasion.

Just next door, Disney California Adventure Park will operate from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., also offering early entry at 7:30 a.m.

Exclusive 70th Anniversary Merchandise Unveiled

Guests will have the chance to take home a piece of Disneyland history with a range of new commemorative merchandise dropping on July 17th:

• “I Was There” T-shirt: Available at Emporium, Disney Showcase, Elias & Co., and World of Disney.
• Magic Key T-shirt: Find this exclusive tee at Emporium, Disney Showcase, Disneyana, Elias & Co., Trolley Treats, Seaside Souvenirs, and World of Disney.
• Trading Pins: Collectible pins will be at Plaza Point Pin Cart, Pioneer Mercantile, The Star Trader, Westward Ho Trading Company, Pan-Pacific Pin Traders, Radiator Springs Curios, Trolley Treats, and Disney’s Pin Trader.
• 70th Ear Hat: Grab this special ear hat at Emporium, EngineEar Souvenirs, Pioneer Mercantile, Disney Showcase, The Star Trader, “it’s a small world” Toy Shop, Elias & Co., Seaside Souvenirs, Studio Store, Oswald’s, Trolley Treats, and World of Disney, Stor-E.
• Walt Disney Figurine: This highly anticipated figurine, also set for an online release on the Disney Store, will be available at Disneyana, Off the Page, and Wonderground. It’s inspired by the new “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” show debuting tomorrow at the Main Street Opera House, which features a groundbreaking Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic performance.

Special Events and Entertainment

The 70th Anniversary celebrations extend beyond merchandise with unique experiences throughout the day:

• Thomas Kinkade Studios Artist Showcase: From July 17th through 20th, Disneyana will host an artist showcase. Guests can meet and greet with artists and get signings from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Exclusive Disneyland 70th artwork will be available when the store opens.
• Dining at Golden Horseshoe: The Golden Horseshoe Restaurant will offer dinner service only on July 17th, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., featuring its special 70th anniversary “Cowboy Fries”. Other Disneyland 70th anniversary food items will also be available across the resort.
• Anniversary Cavalcade: Don’t miss the special Disneyland Birthday Cavalcade at 1:30 p.m., stepping off near “it’s a small world.” The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade will also perform at 2:45 p.m.
• “Kiss Goodnight”: A magical “Kiss Goodnight” will conclude the day’s celebrations at 11:50 p.m., sending guests home with lasting memories.
