Hong Kong Disneyland Kicks Off 20th Anniversary With The Most Magical Party of All!
It’s time to party like it’s 2005—because Hong Kong Disneyland is officially twenty years magical! The park kicked off its 20th anniversary in true Disney style with a day-to-night extravaganza called “The Most Magical Party of All!” and trust us, the celebration is just getting started.
More than 1,000 special guests and content creators were on hand for the launch event on June 28, 2025, where Mickey and Minnie made their grand entrance in sparkling anniversary outfits. Government officials, Disney executives, and even stars from across Asia joined in on the fun. And this isn’t just a one-day wonder—this year-long celebration promises a whole new world of entertainment, characters, and nighttime magic!

What’s New and Unmissable for the 20th
🎉 Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle!
This concert-style kickoff show brings the castle courtyard to life with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Disney Princesses, and Duffy & Friends—all donning brand-new party outfits. With gigantic props and high-energy dancing, it’s a party that sets the tone for the entire celebration.
🎠 The All-New “Friendtastic!” Parade
Move over, Main Street Electrical Parade—there’s a new headliner in town! The Friendtastic! parade is the biggest in HKDL history with:
- 11 stunning floats
- 30+ Disney characters
- 100+ performers
Expect showstoppers like Duffy and all six of his pals on one float, a Toy Story-themed RC Racer float with Woody at the wheel, and even a Zootopia float featuring a Hong Kong skyline and Officer Clawhauser’s debut.
🎆 Momentous – Party in the Night Sky
When night falls, the magic lights up the sky. “Momentous” returns with a 20th anniversary prelude and nearly 30 minutes of drones, projections, pyrotechnics, and pure pixie dust. From the Heart of Te Fiti surging down Main Street to Coco’s glowing petals and a Disney Villains takeover, this nighttime show is a must-see (twice, maybe three times!).
