Diego Luna Surprises Fans During Disneyland’s Star Wars Nite Celebration
Disneyland Resort celebrated May the 4th with a special surprise for guests attending the separately ticketed Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. Diego Luna, the star of the critically acclaimed Disney+ series “Andor,” delighted fans with an unexpected appearance during a cavalcade along Main Street, U.S.A.

The cavalcade featured a procession of Stormtroopers and Imperial officers from the 501st Legion, adding to the immersive Star Wars atmosphere. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse also joined in the fun, dressed as the beloved droids R2-D2 and BB-8, respectively.
In front of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, Luna addressed the enthusiastic crowd, reflecting on his experiences within the Star Wars universe. He emphasized the franchise’s widespread impact and expressed his appreciation for its dedicated and passionate fanbase.
As a special treat, guests were also treated to a captivating projection show titled “Welcome to the Rebellion.” During the show, Sleeping Beauty Castle was transformed into various iconic backdrops from across the Star Wars galaxy. Beloved scenes and music from the franchise were brought to life through innovative projection mapping techniques intertwined with dynamic lighting effects, immersing guests in a galaxy far, far away.
