It’s Alive! First Look at the Victoria Frankenstein Animatronic in Epic Universe’s Monsters Unchained Queue
The Dark Universe just got a shocking new reveal—Universal Orlando has unveiled our first official look at Dr. Victoria Frankenstein inside the queue for Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, and it’s safe to say… she’s electrifying.
As part of the hauntingly immersive Dark Universe land at the upcoming Epic Universe theme park, this new thrill ride takes classic horror to a whole new level—and Dr. Victoria Frankenstein is ready to lead the charge. Dressed in a sleek, black leather lab coat and brought to life with a jaw-dropping projected face effect, the Victoria animatronic is the eerily charismatic face of the twisted experiments taking place beneath the Frankenstein estate.

In the newly released video, she beckons a “chosen few” to witness her ultimate creation and carry on the legacy of her infamous great-grandfather, Henry Frankenstein.
The queue itself is dripping with gothic atmosphere. Portraits of Victoria and Henry Frankenstein (a nod to the iconic 1931 film) hang on stone walls with dramatic lighting and mysterious, arcane energy pulsing in the background. The eerie ambiance sets the stage for the chaos to come—because this “demonstration” goes off the rails quickly when Dracula sparks a full-on monster revolt. We’re talking The Mummy, The Wolf Man, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and more, all unchained and out for blood.
The ride—billed as a thrill-packed motion simulation—has a minimum height requirement of 48 inches and will be available with the Universal Express Pass, which might come in handy once the opening crowds roll in. And speaking of opening… Epic Universe officially opens on May 22, 2025! Team Member previews just wrapped up, and eager Annual Passholders and hotel guests will get their first taste of the mayhem next week.
From crackling lab equipment to storm-lit manor halls, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment promises to be a pulse-pounding plunge into the heart of horror legend. If this first glimpse of Victoria Frankenstein is any indication, this attraction isn’t just bringing the monsters back—it’s making them the stars of Universal’s next great thrill ride.
