Walt Disney World Extends Park Hours for Christmas Week: Here’s What You Need to Know!

The most magical time of the year just got a little brighter at Walt Disney World! To accommodate the holiday crowds, Disney has extended operating hours across its parks for Christmas week, giving guests more time to enjoy the festive spirit, dazzling decorations, and holiday magic. Whether you’re planning to rope drop or stay for the nighttime spectaculars, here’s a breakdown of the updated hours for each park during the holiday rush.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is roaring into the holidays with longer hours to explore its lush landscapes and glowing nighttime beauty.

• December 22-25: Closing time extended to 7:00 pm (instead of 6:00 pm).
• December 26-28: Closing time pushed further to 8:00 pm.
• Extended Evening Hours (December 25): From 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (previously 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm).

Updated Operating Hours:

• December 22-25: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
• December 26-28: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The Force is strong with early risers! Hollywood Studios is offering earlier entry times for those ready to hop on their favorite rides or sip coffee at Galaxy’s Edge.

• December 26-28: Early entry begins at 8:00 am (30 minutes earlier than usual).
• Park opening adjusted to 8:30 am, while the park keeps its 9:00 pm closing time.

Updated Operating Hours:

• December 26-28: 8:30 am – 9:00 pm

Magic Kingdom

The crown jewel of Walt Disney World is gifting guests extra hours to soak in its holiday magic. With earlier openings and later closings, you’ll have plenty of time to conquer your must-do list and catch all the Christmas cheer.

• Early Entry Changes (December 24-28): Start your day at 7:30 am (an hour earlier than usual).
• December 22: Closing extended to 10:00 pm.
• December 23: Stay even later, with closing pushed to 11:00 pm.
• December 23-28: Park opening moved up to 8:00 am, with closing at 11:00 pm.

Updated Operating Hours:

• December 22: 9:00 am – 10:00 pm
• December 23: 9:00 am – 11:00 pm
• December 24-28: 8:00 am – 11:00 pm
