Santa Claus Meet and Greet Decorations Installed at DinoLand in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

DinoLand may be going the way of the dinosaur soon thanks to the upcoming construction of the new Indiana Jones and Encanto themed area and attractions, but the land is going out in style with one last holiday season hurrah! DinoLand U.S.A. will be the home of the Santa Clause meet-and-greet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and the Christmas Decorations have arrived ahead of the big man.

The meet-and-greet will be located on the patio of Restaurantosaurus, witht he area all decked out in a myriad of Christmas decorations, including a Christmas Tree and wreath, a snow man, and stockings that have been hung above Santa’s Chair with care, and swags and Christmas decorations which have been hung from the ceiling. A Dino Institute carpet has also been added to the area, further tying the theming to the land.

The decorations are festive and fit in with the theming in both Animal Kingdom and the land itself, with some rugged items like crates that are stamped with ‘decorations’ mixed with a dinosaur adorned with a Santa Hat. Even the window decorations are getting in on the DinoLand U.S.A. theming with various dinosaurs appearing alongside the snowmen and snowflakes that have been temporarily painted on.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet Jolly Old Saint Nick himself at the 75th Annual Dino Institute Holiday Party from November 12th to December 24th. Additional holiday celebrations that will be available at Animal Kingdom include:

• Merry Menagerie: this wonderful event is returning to Discovery Island, with life-sized artisan puppets of arctic animals roam and interact with guests.
• Mickey and Minnie Mouse at Adventurers Outpost: Mickey and Minnie Mouse will apepar their festive finest during their meet and greet at Adventurers Outpost.
• Holiday Shopping: Unique holiday merchandise, including delightful Merry Menagerie-themed items, will be available throughout the park.
• Festive Treats: Delicious holiday-inspired treats and snacks will be available throughout the park.
• Tree of Life Awakenings: As night falls, witness the Tree of Life awaken with captivating winter-themed projections.
