Although plot details for the new ‘Prince Charming’ movie remain under wraps, the character has a rich history in literature and Disney. While he’s often associated with princesses like Sleeping Beauty and Snow White, his true origins can be traced back to Cinderella, where he is the love interest of the titular heroine.
While the new ‘Prince Charming’ movie won’t be directly tied to the ‘Cinderella’ story, it aligns perfectly with director Paul King’s expertise in family-friendly films.
Paul King’s latest directorial effort, ‘Wonka,’ starring Timothée Chalamet, was a box office hit, grossing over $634 million worldwide. King’s frequent collaborator, Simon Farnaby, co-wrote ‘Wonka’ and the ‘Paddington’ films. King is represented by Independent Talent Group, WME, and UTA, while Farnaby and Jon Croker are represented by Independent Talent Group, UTA, and CAA, respectively.
