Cotino Storyliving by Disney Entrance Gate First Look

Disney’s first Storyliving community, Cotino, just unveiled the completed entrance gate in a stunning Instagram post, marking a significant milestone for this highly anticipated desert paradise. The entrance is flanked by towering Mexican fence post cacti rising from the desert floor, guiding residents and guests to the midcentury-inspired gatehouse. The gate is a visual promise of what’s to come—a unique living experience blending Disney’s signature creativity with luxury and leisure.

Located in the heart of the Coachella Valley, Rancho Mirage, Cotino is set to be a groundbreaking community, inspired by Walt Disney’s personal connection to the area. Known for owning a home in the region, Walt Disney would often retreat to this desert oasis with his family. Now, the site of Cotino will become a place where residents can enjoy their own retreat, combining breathtaking views of the turquoise waters of Cotino Bay with the backdrop of the majestic San Jacinto Mountains.

Storyliving by Disney offers a master-planned community designed and built by Disney, and Cotino will be the first of its kind. Disney-trained cast members will manage the community, bringing the same legendary guest service found at Disney resorts. Residents can expect a lifestyle rich with amenities, including parks, pathways, and a promenade, all designed with Disney’s renowned attention to detail. These spaces are expected to open in 2025, providing opportunities for paddleboarding, kayaking, lounging on white-sand beaches, or even playing pickleball. The exclusive Artisan Club will offer access to curated experiences, from wellness programs to entertainment and more.
