Typhoon Lagoon Opening this Weekend After Hurricane Milton Closure

Walt Disney World Resort has announced that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will reopen to guests on Saturday, October 12. This follows the temporary closure of the park due to Hurricane Milton.

The reopening of Typhoon Lagoon comes as a relief to many visitors who were hoping to enjoy the water park during their Walt Disney World vacation. While Disney’s Blizzard Beach remains closed for refurbishment, the reopening of Typhoon Lagoon offers a much-needed splash of fun for guests.

All four Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs, and mini-golf courses have resumed normal operations. However, limited park reservations are currently available for guests with theme park tickets, and park reservations are unavailable for Annual Passholders.

While most of the resort has returned to normal operations, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa remain closed. Guests are encouraged to check back for updates on a reopening timeline.

The reopening of Typhoon Lagoon marks a significant milestone in Walt Disney World’s recovery from Hurricane Milton. The storm forced the closure of the resort on October 9 and 10, leading to the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Will you be heading to parks this weekend?
