Disney World Park Reservations Blocked for October 9 as Tropical Storm Milton Approaches

Walt Disney World has taken another precautionary measure in anticipation of Tropical Storm / Hurricane Milton, suspending park reservations for Wednesday, October 9th, the day the storm is projected to make landfall in Florida. This follows the resort’s earlier decision to pause hotel reservations for October 8th through 10th.

While the storm’s track has shifted slightly southward, it still poses a significant threat to the Orlando area, including Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. Both theme parks remain open at this time, but Disney’s decision to block park reservations for Wednesday suggests they are preparing for potential operational impacts.

Orange County, where both resorts are located, is currently under a State of Emergency declared by Governor Ron DeSantis. This declaration enables the mobilization of resources to support local communities in preparation and recovery efforts.
