Disneyland Mom Breaks Silence on her Arrest

A Disneyland mom who was arrested and handcuffed at Disney California Adventure, leaving her daughters in tears, has vehemently denied the accusations. Jessenia Diaz, 26, of Torrance, was taken into custody on Tuesday, Sept. 24, on suspicion of trespassing. In a social media post, she described the incident as her “worst nightmare” and called the allegations “pure lies.”

Diaz’s arrest was captured on video by park visitors and quickly went viral on social media. Apparently, the woman attempted to enter Disney California Adventure with her children without paying for tickets. Disneyland officials confirmed that she had previously tried to do the same. It’s important to note that children under the age of 3 are allowed to enter the parks for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Diaz is a Magic Key annual passholder at the Disneyland Resort and has posted her side of the story on TikTok.

“What they say is pure lies,” Diaz posted on TikTok. “The worst way to end the month. Thankfully my daughters are safe. I love them. I would die if anything ever happened to them.”

The first TikTok video shows Disneyland security and cast members surrounding Diaz near the Goofy Sky School roller coaster. The second video briefly captures Diaz’s two young daughters, aged 3 and 4, enjoying a carousel ride at an outdoor shopping mall.

Diaz assured followers on TikTok that she and her children were safe. She expressed gratitude for their concern and criticized those who blamed her for the incident. Diaz also threatened legal action against Disneyland, claiming to have evidence to support her claims.

Police accused Diaz of entering Disneyland without paying admission on at least four occasions in the past two months. Despite Disneyland’s offer to allow Diaz to purchase tickets and remain in the park, she declined. Diaz’s uncooperative behavior prompted Disneyland security to contact Anaheim Police, who arrested her and issued a citation.
