In today’s Lorecast, Ravensburger revealed thrilling news for Disney Lorcana fans worldwide. The sixth set of the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game, titled Azurite Sea, will make a splash with a host of exciting new content and gameplay modes. Here’s what we learned:
Azurite Sea Set Details
Scheduled for release on November 15, 2024, in local game stores, Disney Stores, and Disney Parks, Azurite Sea promises to bring fresh new characters and lore to the table. Fans can also expect the set to hit mass retailers and DisneyStore.com by November 25, 2024. This expansion will introduce a beloved new cast from Disney’s animated and live-action realms:
- Big Hero 6 characters will make their debut in the Disney Lorcana TCG universe. Fans of the futuristic team led by Hiro and Baymax will now have the chance to include them in their decks.
- Rescue Rangers, previously announced, are set to join the ranks. Chip, Dale, Gadget, and the rest of the crew will undoubtedly add a nostalgic twist to any gameplay experience.

Disney Lorcana Challenge: The Road to Championships
In addition to the new card set, Ravensburger announced major dates for the upcoming Disney Lorcana Championship events. These events will allow players to test their skills on the grandest stages of the Lorcana community:
- European Championship: December 7 – 9, 2024, at Disneyland Paris Resort
- North American Championship: January 10 – 12, 2025, at the Disneyland Hotel at the Disneyland Resort in California
- World Championship: March 2025, at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida

Introducing Pack Rush: A New, Fast-Paced Way to Play Lorcana
Another exciting reveal was the announcement of Pack Rush, a brand-new format designed to offer a quick and fun way to enjoy Disney Lorcana TCG. This fast-paced game mode is perfect for casual play or between rounds at tournaments and was initially introduced during Disney Lorcana TCG Challenge events this summer.
Pack Rush offers an innovative way to play the game using booster packs, making it ideal for those who want to dive into Lorcana quickly, whether at a local game store or at home. Here are the basic rules for Pack Rush:
- Two Booster Packs: Each player starts with two unopened booster packs, which can be from any Disney Lorcana set.
- Shuffling without Looking: Players open their packs, set aside marketing and puzzle cards, and shuffle the rest together without peeking.
- Inkwell Mechanics: The puzzle or marketing cards are placed directly into the inkwell, and players begin with 2 ink.
- Hand Size & Ink Use: Players start with 5 cards in their hand (instead of the usual 7), and there are no restrictions on how many inks can be used in a turn.
- Deck Recycling: If a player runs out of cards to draw, their discard pile is shuffled to create a new deck.
- Winning the Game: The first player to collect 15 lore wins the game.
The full rules for Pack Rush will be released in the coming weeks, but this sneak peek already has fans excited for a quicker and more accessible way to enjoy Disney Lorcana.
