DreamWorks Animation Layoffs Hit 4% of its Workforce
DreamWorks Animation is implementing a 4% reduction in its workforce as a response to the recent downturn in the industry, increased production expenses, and ongoing labor strikes. A DWA spokesperson told Deadline, “DreamWorks Animation reduced its workforce by approximately 70 positions. Roles affected were across corporate functions, feature, television, and technology departments as part of an overall cost-reduction.”

There is optimism that the studio’s fortunes may improve with the upcoming launch of the third installment in the Trolls film series, titled “Trolls Band Together,” scheduled for release on November 17. Notably, *Nsync will reunite after 22 years to contribute a song to the film’s soundtrack.
