The Golden Dream was backstage for several months undergoing a refurbishment. Now that it has returned to its rightful spot in the lagoon, let’s go over some facts and history about the ship!
The ship is a historically accurate replica of a 1776 Continental rum runner sloop. A sloop is a sailing ship with a single mast and a fore-and-aft rig. The Golden Dream originally appeared on World Showcase Lagoon in 1993. To get the best view of the Golden Dream, head to Italy and walk over the water piazza bridge on World Showcase Lagoon.
