We have been to Walt Disney World many, many times but until this visit we had never eaten at ‘Ohana. It is now on our list of “must do” dining for every trip in the future. The food is amazing, the service is excellent, and the price is right. BUT – let’s get to the star of this article, the ‘Ohana Bread Pudding dessert.
I’m not, by nature, a dessert person and generally the only one I eat at Walt Disney World is the Grapefruit Cake at the Hollywood Brown Derby (yummy by the way). Actually, if the bread pudding hadn’t been included with the meal I would not have considered ordering it and that would have been a gastronomic tragedy!!! When they bring it to your table, don’t let it sit there, scarf it down!!!
I’m including the recipe below, including the bread recipe. You can use French bread instead of the Breakfast Bread but I’m afraid it wouldn’t quite be the same. The details of texture, flavor, sweetness etc. can be summed up in one word – DREAMY!!!! It is the perfect finishing touch to an excellent meal and will leave you smiling as you walk out the door!!
Here are the recipes:
