Halloween is approaching and Tricks and Treats are everywhere you turn! Most adults I know aren’t so much into traditional “Tricks or Treats”, but I think they can all agree that when at Disney World, its important to “Treat” yourself to something awesome. Try some of these activities that are sure to be a treat any time of the year:
Victoria and Alberts: Splurge on this 6 course meal where wine pairings are made from an award winning cellar. The wine isn’t the only thing winning awards here – the restaurant is an 11-year recipient of the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award, and is arguably one of the best restaurants in all of Florida. And if you want something even more special than that, they do a private dinner with the head chef at the Chef’s Table. If food is your thing, then you better make reservations for Victoria and Albert’s right away!
Wine and Dine: In addition to Disney’s Dining Plans, which make mealtime a breeze, you can add on the “Wine and Dine” plan, which allots you 1 bottle of wine per night per room. Many restaurants at Walt Disney World offer a large selection of wines, and they always have staff who can assist in choosing the right wine to compliment your meal. For more information on the Wine and Dine plan and locations where you can redeem your wine credits, check out Disney’s Official Dining Plan webpage
Souvenirs: Disney offers more than just stuffed animals and Mickey ear hats (which are actually cute on anyone and do come in adult sizes, in case you were wondering). Some of Disney’s finest shopping can be had at Downtown Disney’s World of Disney store. There, you will find everything from t-shirts to hats to kitchen accessories to dishes to watches and fine jewelry. If you’re looking for something a little classier to bring home as a reminder of your WDW vacation, try a Mickey wine stopper (comes in silver or blinged out with rhinestones!), A Mickey spatula, or a Mickey hand pot holde. Downtown Disney’s The Days of Christmas store has plenty of special and unique ornaments too, so you can be reminded of all the fun you had at WDW every Christmas!
Carriage Ride: Take a romantic ride on a horse drawn carriage through Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort or Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. It’s cozy, its relaxing, and a bonus for this visiting during Halloween time – they also do a haunted version. Check out details here
Downtown Disney: Not only is it a great place to shop or eat any time of the day, but at night it really comes alive, with bars and clubs and live jazz at the House of Blues, it really is a great place to come for dinner, then take in the Cirque Du Soleil show La Nouba (which is a show unique to WDW, you won’t find it anywhere else!), then finish off the night with a few drinks and some dancing and live music.
Hey, you’re on vacation, TREAT yourself to something special, different, and fun. No matter what you do, it’s all a treat, since you are vacationing at the happiest place on earth!
