Pixar has teamed up with Porsche to create a special car inspired by Sally Carrera, the 2002 blue Porsche 911 Carrera, from Disney and Pixar’s Cars.
Named the “911 Sally Special,” this real-life Sally Carrera car is the only one that will ever be made. Fully personalized, created, and built by Porsche and a team of Pixar staff, the car notably comes in the custom color “Sally Blue Metallic.” It will be sold by RM Sotheby’s, classic car auction company, on August 20 at Monterey Car Week in Monterey, CA

The most notable exterior feature is the paint color Sally Blue Metallic, which is offered exclusively for the 911 Sally Special and inspired by the character. Adding to this striking hue, the elements of the Sport Design front and rear fascia – usually kept in black – are also painted in Sally Blue Metallic, as are the rear engine lid and surroundings. Porsche lettering in shimmering Alushine and a 996-generation style “Carrera” designation at the rear add to the one-of-one appearance of the 911 Sally Special.
The Sally Blue Metallic is even seen on the trimmings of the interior dashboard and as an accent on the steering wheel. Sally’s interior includes white leather seats with a houndstooth pattern, guard slips with the name ‘Sally Special’ on them, and a ‘Kachow Mode’ button to replace the usual Sport Response switch.
The Sally Special has 437 horsepower, a seven-speed manual gearbox, and the 911 GTS’s engine. Cars fans, however, will only be able to get their hands on the vehicle via an auction. Porsche and Pixar are working with RM Sotheby’s to sell the car at an upcoming event in Monterey, California. The sale of the car will benefit two different charities: Girls Inc., a charity dedicated to providing girls between the ages of five and 18 with the tools necessary for life; and USA for UNHCR, a charity devoted to helping UN refugees. The winning bidder will also receive a watch designed by Porsche, a book detailing the production process of the Sally Special, a cover for the car, a second set of tires, and a tire rack to put them on.
