Pixar Director Lee Unkrich Doing Photo Blog for New Film

Last week, Lee Unkrich, director of Toy Story 3, tweeted that he was pitching a movie to Pixar that would determine the next four years of his life. Well, it must have went well because Unkrich is now working on the new film and doing something special for the fans while he’s at it. The tweet pictured above is what is going to be the start of a very interesting journey fans can take with the Pixar director over the next four years. Unkrich, who really seems to have grasped his love for social media, has decided that he will start a photo-a-day blog that chronicles the journey working on his new film. At the time, nothing about the film is known, so for now we will call it ‘The Untitled Lee Unkrich Pixar Movie That is Destined to be Great’.

The blog itself can be found at Lee Unkrich. The first photo he posted showed a mac keyboard, which we can take to mean that the film is in the scripting stage. The second photo was a picture of a sandwich and broccoli, showing his every day lunch. Unkrich was quick to point out that the blog will not give us any clues to the film itself, but will be more of an abstract way of him to share his journey of making the movie. It’s honestly a brilliant inside look at the making of movies, so fans of film will really enjoy this long journey with the director. I’m really looking forward to seeing everything he has to share, and am greatly anticipating his new movie. Can’t wait until we find out more.
