Chef Cat Cora’s appearance at this year’s Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is canceled and in her place is Charles Mattocks, known as “The Poor Chef” whose familiar line is, “What can you cook for $7?”
Nephew of legendary reggae singer Bob Marley, his affordable, healthful creations with an island flair have been showcased on “The Dr. Oz Show.” The Emmy-nominated actor’s most recent production is “The Diabetic You,” aimed at education and inspiring diabetics. And he’s also a proponent of teaching children to eat and shop for healthful foods.
Mattocks will be on stage at the Kitchen Memories event from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Oct. 28. To book the event, go to Disneyworld.com/foodandwine. Epcot theme park admission is required. You also can call 407-WDW-FEST.

As someone whose hubby lost his job of 15 yrs, this is information that I’m very interested in. It’s difficult to find the ingrediants for healthy recipes on an extremely limited budget. I would love to see some of his recipes posted here. Thanks a bunch
I haven’t ever heard of Chef Charles Mattocks before this article, but I am definitely checking him out! I mean, a meal for only $7? A.MAZ.ING!! And I’d LOVE to go to the food & wine festival-I bet it’s wonderful!
