As a parent of young children, one of my favorite Walt Disney World experiences is character meet-and-greets. Kids get so excited that it’s contagious. And now that characters are coming back from their hiatuses, there are more ways to meet Disney friends than there have been in years!

The first major announcement is that Mirabel from Disney’s “Encanto” will soon be joining a cavalcade at the Magic Kingdom! She’ll be part of the “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade” starting on June 26. Along with Miguel from “Coco,” Nick and Judy from “Zootopia,” Goofy, Moana, and others, you’ll be able to catch her parading through several times a day.

Starting on July 6th, Minnie Mouse will join Mickey Mouse in Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom Park. Hugs and photos are back, and they’ll be decked out in their EARidescent 50th Anniversary celebration outfits! Chip ‘N Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long will be returning that same day at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. On July 10th, Peter Pan and Snow White will return to greet guests at Magic Kingdom Park. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Star Wars Launch Bay will be returning on July 17th. Meet Chewbacca, BB-8, and even Darth Vader himself face-to-face!

Other returning Walt Disney World experiences include the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue on June 23rd, and Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street coming back on July 31st. Keep checking back for pending news on Magic Kingdom characters like Aladdin, Jasmine, Merida, Pooh, Tigger, and Storybook Circus pals like The Great Goofini as well! Not to mention Toy Story friends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and “Donald’s Dino-Bash!” in DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park will be coming back shortly.
