No More “Opening Ceremony” at Epcot?

No More "Opening Ceremony" at Epcot?

Today we are the bearers of bad news. The word on the street is that Epcot will no longer be allowing early entrance into Innoventions plaza for the Epcot version of “rope drop“.

Instead, everyone will remain crammed like sardines at the front gates until the park formally opens. If you’re thinking of sneaking in from the waterway…that’s not going to work either.

The small show that featured a free roaming Test Track car has been discontinued. It remains to be seen if there is a new “rope drop opening” in the works or if this change is going to permanent.

  1. To be honest, we NEVER make rope drop. I make my kids do their homework each day in the morning so that it is done when they are at their best. We can stay out late then & have a fun time instead of worrying about getting back to our assignments! =) We always see the Mickey hands waving goodnight to us instead of the rope drop.
