Could Disney+ be planning a reboot of Marvel’s Inhumans? Given the expansion of Marvel’s cosmic stories in the recent MCU, it seems like Stan Lee’s Inhumans are worth reconsidering in live action.
A recent report by an insider source says that an Inhumans reboot is in the works for the Disney+ streaming platform.
In 2014, Marvel Studios announced a live-action Inhumans film to be released as part of Phase Three of the MCU. The film was removed from the studio’s release slate in 2016 before being reworked into a television series for ABC shortly after. It mirrored the continuity presented on ABC’s Agents of Shield, but felt far removed from the proper MCU.

The king of the Inhumans, Black Bolt was created by the legendary duo of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The character first appeared in 1965’s Fantastic Four #45 alongside his family, the House of Agon. The Inhumans got their very own comic book series in 1975, written by Doug Moench and penciled by George Pérez. Black Bolt eventually went on to star in an Eisner Award-winning solo series, which launched in 2017 from writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Christian Ward.
However, while Marvel Television’s Black Bolt had his show canceled, Marvel Studios may have better luck with the continuity built on Disney+.
