Part of my passion for Disney is due to their amazing films. They are a huge part of my childhood, an escape from reality, and without a doubt timeless classics. Disney movies are also just plain fun, and The Lion King, which is returning to theaters this week in 3D, is one of my favorites! Therefore, to celebrate this Disney classic, and for a chuckle or two, I decided to share the Top 10 Things That I Learned From The Lion King. Sort of.
10. First of all, never judge a baboon by its strange appearance or erratic behavior. (Not only will he hit you with his stick, but you will be feeling rather sheepish when you find out that he’s the only person in the savanna who has a clue)
9. Ed the Hyena is awesome. (No arguments)
8. Elton John sounds just as good, if not better, in African themed cartoons. (Some things just don’t need to be explained.)
7. Saying “Mufasa!”will never get old! (I’ve been imitating this line since 1994 and I show no signs of stopping anytime soon!)
6. I can never perfectly imitate the opening lines of the Circle of Life, no matter how hard I try. (But hey, practice makes perfect! Right? Right…?)
5. Whoopi Goldberg makes a really great hyena. (“How about a “cub” sandwich? Get it?”)
4. They call him MR. PIG!
3. Stars are actually fireflies that got stuck up on that big, bluish-black thing. (So says Timon)
2. There’s nothing cooler than visiting an elephant graveyard and laughing in the face of danger. (That is, until the hyenas show up. That’s not so great)
1. That past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or…learn from it. (So true)
So what did you think of my Top 10 list? Be sure to let me know! Hakuna Matata!

I’d just like to point out that Whoopi’s line is actually “Make mine a “cub” sandwich”. I’ve seen The Lion King so many times I pretty much know the whole thing by heart lol.
