Orange County, Florida, has been labeled a Covid-19 “hotspot” by a recent White House report.
Once an area has “reached a threshold of disease activity considered as being of high burden” it is labeled a hotspot. Orange County is the only county in the Orlando area that has reached this level.

Orange County is also one of four rapid riser counties in Florida. Raul Pino, the head of the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, said an increase in testing is one of the reasons cases are up right now.

Orange County, Florida, is home to the Walt Disney World Resort and crowds at the parks have been very high lately.
Florida reported 13,530 new coronavirus cases last week though none of them have been connected to Disney.
