Former Disney chief executive Bob Iger is interested in purchasing the Phoenix Suns. If the NBA franchise becomes available, Iger would be interested in bidding for ownership of the basketball team.
The future of the Suns’ ownership is in doubt as the NBA investigates allegations of workplace misconduct under Robert Sarver. The league’s investigation is expected to last several more months, but Robert Sarver may be forced to sell the team. If so, then Bob Iger is able to pursue the purchase of the NBA team.

Having been a CEO at Disney since 2005, Iger stepped down from that role in 2020, but stayed on as executive chairman.
The 70-year-old will exit from Disney at the end of this year. A media outlet reported that although there have been no formal talks yet, Iger is interested in bidding for the Suns.
According to sports analysts, the Suns have been valued at $1.7 billion and would likely sell for more than $2 billion.
