Rail replacement at Disney’s Polynesian Resort is underway. Guests traveling by boat, leaving from the Polynesian, may notice some upgrades to the dock area. Gone are the flimsy rope fencing and lack of handrails with single pylons every few feet. Replaced with an upgraded fence with rope mesh with new handrails.
If you are heading to or from the Magic Kingdom via boat transportation leaving from Disney’s Polynesian Resort, across the Seven Seas Lagoon, you will notice the dock looks almost brand new. The old fencing, which kept guests safe, has been redone and upgraded. To a newer safer fence. The fishing rope-type fence is now linked together with safety rails leading to and from the dock. All the rope is being fully replaced.
The dock is in full operation while the Rail replacement work is being done. In fact. when we stopped by last week, work was almost complete. The rental boat section just needs some finishing touches. Check out the images below.
