Dave Bautista Confirms Exit as Drax After ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’. Dave Bautista is a man of his word and confirms he will be stepping away from his role as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy. While touring for his new film, Dune, Dave confirmed he is done as Drax after the next Guardians movie, sharing:
“It is our third film. It will end here. It has been a hellish journey with some obstacles so from a certain point of view, I can’t wait for it to end. But it was a journey that lasted about 10 years, in which I found a real family“. Bautista added, “You know, all things have to come to an end. And I can’t wait to end this adventure with my friends and family“.
The famed actor had shared the same sentiment back at the beginning of 2021 while promoting Army of the Dead on The Ellen Show. Dave shared he has enjoyed the journey and backed the Guardians Trilogy Director and Writer James Gunn saying “When he’s done, I’m done.” on several occasions with the press.
