Boneyard Play Area in the Animal Kingdom Partially Reopens. What a great day to be at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The crowds were rather low, and the ride queues were short. We got a chance to just take our time and not rush around like we normally do because of the lower crowd levels. While meandering around the park, we found ourselves in DinoLand U.S.A. area and saw that the Boneyard Fossil Fun Site had reopened.
The playground area is a chance for the little ones to let off some steam running around partially exposed dinosaur fossils. Filled with many slides and places to explore. Kids can roam and explore 4 levels of fun.
It had closed originally for the pandemic, when the rest of the parks closed down. It also has gone under a partial refurbishment, which is the reason only one side is open right now.

Fun with Fossils
A world of prehistoric marvels awaits! Kids ages 10 and under are invited to clamber across rope bridges, climb through mysterious caves and hurl down twisting slides.
At the dig site, help excavate fossils from a Triceratops and a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Discover lots more dino-sized surprises as you have a blast digging up the past.
Parents of busy explorers can enjoy a shaded seating area at the dig site, where large fans help cool things down.
