Gina Carano Cast as Lead in Crime-Thriller Film Coming in 2022. After being let go from Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian due to controversial and opinionated posts to her social media accounts that sparked mixed reactions from fans, Actress Gina Carano (Cara Dune) has landed a leading role in the film adaption of the crime-thriller novel “White Knuckle.”

White Knuckle “follows the story of a strong-willed woman who survives an attempt by serial killer-trucker “White Knuckle.” Haunted by her encounter and the cops’ inability to catch her tormentor, she partners with a trucker to end the killer’s reign of terror.“

Carano will not only take on the leading role for the film but she has also signed on as a producer. “I’m completely ignited to be creating this thriller with The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend,” Carano shared in a statement regarding the project. “I feel I am exactly where I want and need to be at this moment in my life; it feels as if I have wings.”

Carano will be joined by fellow producers Dallas Sonnier (Bone Tomahawk), Amanda Presmyk (Dragged Across Concrete), and former Fangoria editor Tony Timpone under production companies, the Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend. White Knuckle is expected to release in the first quarter of 2022.
