‘The Lion King’ Cast Broke Out into Song Singing “Circle of Life” for the First Day of Rehearsal. Theaters have been dark for nearly two years, but this fall the curtains will rise once again and rehearsals have begun for the returning shows. This week, the cast of Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway gathered for the first round of rehearsals and broke out into an emotional rendition of the iconic opening song Circle of Life.
